Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo in the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. She is the daughter of Peter an academic and Ilkay Silk who is an accomplished actress director producer playwright educator and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's early memories include going to play rehearsals and watching her mother work. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Her early theater experience includes at least two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move to Toronto for further development of her acting career in the month of November 1999, and during the following decade relocated to Los Angeles California. She met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's workshop located in Los Angeles in 2007. They were engaged during 2009 and then married during a civil ceremony December that same year. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton following the time that Silk converted to Judaism. Silk got a baby with the name of Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron was her second child born on the 13th of May 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. Silk was offered the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus on the Canadian television show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant while filming of the final season episode. The news was announced to viewers of the show in the Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on Season Four. On June 20 2013 Silk declared on Twitter she was back to the series. Her portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex couples on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples on CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's successes have led to a huge online following through social media.
